Genetic maps of chromosome are the maps of correct locations of genes within chromosome. Genetic maps of chromosome build according the data of distance between genes. For instance, distance between genes ec and ct in Drosophilae chromosome 1 is equal 0,145 of map unit (Morgan). Distance between genes ct and v is equal 0,13 of map unit, and distance between genes v and m is equal 0,061 of map unit. So, correct locations of genes within chromosome are following:
