attitude of the citizens towards accents (before that children at school was asked to use language patterns considered being classic/standard, not home accent), but tolerance – brought the tolerance of accents. Youth culture in GB – one of the sources of changes (50-60s 20 c)

The Beatles led the movement at their time. a bright example of a specific dialectal RP, linguists happened to notice changes of dialectal pronunciation.

Time element and the age factor also caused the changes.

age factor – retired ones prefer conservative RP

students prefer advanced one.

Dialects (for ex – [t] glottaling) enrich the language on all the levels.
