POLITOLOGY (Political Science) is a rather young science. For a long time different political ideas were united in political philosophy. As an independent branch of knowledge the political science was generated at the end of the XIX-th century. Its appearance is connected with the name of famous german scientist Max Weber.

The next ХХ-th century is time of rapid development of political science. After II World War many politological organizations have been formed.

International Political Science Association IPSA Международная ассоциация политических наук It operatessince 1949. This organization unites 47 regional politological associations  

 

Also there are regional organizations

 

European Consortium for Political Research, ECPR Европейский Консорциум Политических Исследований
American Political Science Association APSA Американская ассоциация политической науки
Association of political sciences of Great Britain APSGB Ассоциация политических наук Великобритании
French fund of political sciences FFPS Французский фонд политических наук
 

 

 

As a separate discipline politology is realized in Russian high school (universities, institutes) from the end 1980- beginning 1990. Specialized departments of politology were formed, and also the corresponding program of the higher education has been entered.

POLITICAL SCIENCE (POLITOLOGY) – a science about the maintenance and laws of development of political sphere of the society ( political power, political systems, political relations)

1. History of political theories. Politology schools.

2. Political systems, their maintenance and the comparative analysis

3. Political parties and party systems

4. Modern electoral systems

5. Political organizations and movements

6. Political power, political activity, political leadership.

7. Political relations and processes. Political conflicts.

8. World politics and international relations
