FACULTY OF LAW Foundedin 1963 as a department of Tomsk State University, since 1973 is a part of Altai State University. Forms of education:full-time, part-time. Courses provided:bachelor's degree, master's degree, postgraduate studies. Academic degree: Law. Specialities: Law. Methods of assessment: credit-tests, essays, and examinations. Number of students: approximately 1900 Departments of:Theory and History of the State and Law; Constitutional and International Law; Civil Law; Labor, Environmental Law and Civil Procedure; Criminal Law and Criminology; Criminal Procedure and Criminalistics. Teaching staff:Certified staff includes Doctors of Sciences, Candidates of Sciences, teachers who are professional, dedicated and committed to their students' success. Facilities: codification study-room, 3 computer terminals, court room, criminalistic lab, criminalistic polygon, investigation methods and techniques lab etc. Research: The Faculty of Law supports a wide variety of legal research. Thus, among its graduates there are both practicing lawyers and scientific workers. During their course of studies some initiative students start to conduct research studies on law and engage in scientific conferences, participate in student scientific society of the Faculty of Law. The best ones take part in the Annual Summer Law School. The faculty has designed several research areas on which it places special value.
