What are visuals?

VISUALS

Work in a pair. You are going to make a presentation. Study the information devoted to the visual aids and discuss with your partner what visuals you will use and give your arguments.

Discuss these questions with other members of the group.

1) What is the purpose of the presentation? 2) What percentage of the success of a presentation is due to preparation? 3) What do you need to know about the audience? 4) If the content is good, the presentation will certainly go well. To what extent is this true? 5) What methods can you use to structure your presentation, and to show this structure to the audience? 6) How can you avoid a presentation being a platform to show off how much you know about a certain audience?

It is often a good idea to give out a paper copy, called a handout, an outline, a glossary of key words, sources, any other visuals you plan to use, so people can take them away, not waste time in taking notes on key concepts.
