К неправильным относятся те глаголы, которые образуют Past Simple не по правилу прибавления окончания –ed в прошедшем времени. Несмотря на то, что их окончания отличаются от окончаний правильных глаголов, неправильные глаголы используют тот же вспомогательный глагол did для образования вопросительной и отрицательной форм Past Simple.
Неправильные глаголы, как и правильные, имеют 3 основные формы:
· I tella joke. (present)
· I tolda joke. (past)
· I have tolda joke. (past participle)
Некоторые неправильные глаголы, такие как tell, имеют одинаковую вторую и третью формы. У других все три формы различны:
· I wear a cap. (present)
· I wore a cap. (past)
· I have worna cap. (past participle)
Все неправильные глаголы необходимо запоминать!
