ОБОЗНАЧЕНИЕ ДАТ В АНГЛИЙСКОМ ЯЗЫКЕ
Даты в английском языке обозначаются количественными числительными, причём цифры в дате делятся пополам. Например: nineteen ninety-nine(1999 - девятнадцать девяносто девять). Если в названии даты есть ноль, то дата читается как: nineteen hundred and five или nineteen oh[ou]five (1905 - девятнадцать ноль пять). С обозначением даты используется предлог in (в). Например: in 1980.
Числа месяца обозначаются порядковыми числительными: the twenty-first of April. (двадцать первое апреля).
Ex.14.Close your books and listen to the teacher. Translate the dates into Russian: 1453, 1816, 1796, 1904, 1689, 1537, 1808, 1574, 1975, 1203.
