`There are `different `types of(clocks:ô`big `clocks on the&walls,ôon the &buildingsô and on the(towers. We use an alarm clock at home. It wakes you up in the morning. People wear watches on their wrists. A clock or a watch has a face and three hands: a minute hand, an hour hand and a second hand. There are sixty minutes in an hour, and sixty seconds in a minute. A minute hand shows minutes. An hour hand shows hours. People ask about time very often. “What time is it now?” they say. If a watch shows correct time we say, “The watch keeps good time.” A watch can be slow or fast, and then we say, “My watch doesn't keep good time. It is slow. It is five minutes slow.” If your watch is fast you usually say, “My watch doesn't keep good time. It is fast. It is five minutes fast.” You must wind up your watch every day, and if you forget to wind up your watch it stops, and then you can't tell the correct time. But some clocks and watches don't need winding up. They are electronic watches. Electronic watches are more convenient. Clocks and watches are very important in our lives. They make our lives easier.
