Charles: Hello! I'm Charles Simmons.

John: Nice to meet you. I'm John O'Connor.

Charles: It's a wonderful party, isn't it? How do you know the host?

John: Oh, we work together. How about you?

Charles: We went to school together.

John: Oh, really. What sort of work do you do?

Charles: I work with computers. I'm a computer programmer.

John: My brother works with computers, too.

Charles: Oh, what does he do?

John: He's in computer repair.

Charles: How interesting!

 

Mary: Hello. My name's Mary. What's your name?

David: Hi, I'm David.

Mary: Nice to meet you, David.

David: Nice to meet you, too.

Mary: Where do you come from, David?

David: I'm from Cardiff. And what about you, Mary?

Mary: Oh, I live here in Ufa.

David: Really? Ufa is a nice, beautiful city.

Mary: Thanks! What about Cardiff?

David: Cardiff? It's a city, too. It's also modern and beautiful.

Mary: Where is it?

David: Oh, it in Wales, Britain. And Mary, do you study here in USATU?

Mary: Yes, I'm a freshman.

David: Really? I'm a sophomore, but I study in Cardiff. And here I'm on an exchange program. What subject do you major in?

Mary: Aircraft engines. And you?

David: Oh, it's interesting. As for me I major in programming.

Mary: Great!

David: Yes. I also work at our local Programming Centre in Cardiff. Sorry, I have to go. Can I take your phone number? I'd like to talk to you more.

Mary: OK. Here you are. Bye.

David: Bye. Have a nice day.
