Linda Krug: I'm the Dean for the College of Liberal Arts at the University of Minnesota. I earned my Ph.D. in Social-Political Language from the Department of Speech & Dramatic Arts at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1987, and my B.A. and M.A. in Speech Communication from Miami University in 1980 and 1981. My areas of interest include political communication, gender communication, and leadership. I am sure that liberal arts are important for everyone, regardless of their major.

 

George Stanton: I'm the Dean for the College of Science at the Columbus State University. I earned my Ph.D. in biology from the University of Maine in 1995, and my B.S. in Science from Bucknell University in 1980. My research interests are bio-organic chemistry, and pharmacological role of lead ion in the environment. When I'm not at work, you are most likely to see me on the golf course.

 

Gerald Fuller: I'm the Chair for Chemical Engineering Department at Stanford University School of Engineering. I got my Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering in 1992 from Minnesota University. My research interests are organic semiconductors, polymers, nanoelectronic devices, and organic electronics. Apart from my work, I take evening classes in Chinese, as my deepest belief is that in the nearest future China will take the leading position in business and education.

Здравствуйте. Я очень рад познакомиться с Вами. Позвольте представиться. Меня зовут Петр Иванов. Я аспирант кафедры неорганической химии Казанского государственного технологического университета. Я провожу исследования в области теплофизики. Моя диссертационная работа касается теплофизических свойств металлов и сплавов. Мой научный руководитель Захаров Иван Иванович, профессор кафедры физической химии КГТУ. Сфера его научных интересов включает разработку новых методов исследования теплофизических свойств веществ. Он получил свою докторскую степень по физики в КГТУ в 1956 году. Он помогает и направляет меня в моем научном исследовании. Я надеюсь защитить диссертацию в 2012 году.

Кроме научной работы я отвечаю за разработку новых компьютерных программ для нашей кафедры. В свободное от работы время я чаще всего занимаюсь в тренажерном зале.
