Travel Advisories.

Periodically, various U.S. agencies issue travel advisories to warn citizens about the possible dangers of travelling to certain destinations.

If a hurricane is defected by a weather satellite, for example, a travel advisory may be issued. Advisories are also issued regarding terrorist threats, war zones, and other places considered unsafe for travel by Americans.

Epidemics of malaria, cholera, tuberculosis and other diseases are wide spread in many parts of Africa, Asia and Malasia. The National Institutes of Health or a health care professional should be consulted regarding current medical requirements for travel to these regions.

1. You want to open a travel agency that specializes in serving physically

and mentally handicapped people. What special facilities and services will you require of your transportation suppliers?

accommodations suppliers?

3. What knowledge, abilities, or qualities will you require of your tour

operators?

4. How will you locate suppliers who are appropriately equipped or are

willing to become so?

travelers differ from those of non-handicapped travelers? How will they

similar?

7. How might the employees you hire affect your business?
