B) Now read the second part to see if you were right.

A week later, Sheila went with Akan to the airport ‘We kissed goodbye and I thought I would never see him again,' says Sheila. ‘But I knew that he was sad to be leaving me, too. He promised that he would phone.'

Sheila went back to her work at the hospital and didn't hear from Akan for over two months. Then, one day, the phone rang. Akan explained that he missed Sheila and that he thought about her all the time. He said that he had given up heroin and that he had found ajob. He begged her to come and visit him.

Sheila asked her friends for advice and they all thought it was astonishing that she was even thinking of seeing him again. But Sheila couldn't imagine life without him and a few months later, she flew to Cyprus. Akan met her at the airport, and she couldn't believe how much his appearance had changed. He looked tanned and healthy, and had put on weight, so different from the homeless man she had seen outside the Underground station. He told her that she had inspired him to change his life, that he was a new man.

Sheila and Akan were married four weeks later. ‘I never thought it would happen to me,' she says. ‘But it goes to show that you find true love where you least expect it.'
