Understand and adhere to fire regulations– this will require you to have action plans to respond fire and other workplace emergencies. Report Accidents and keep careful records – keeping records of accident reports is another form of complying with OSHA's record-keeping regulation. Use protective equipment – by furnishing your workplace with protective gears, like hard hats, safety goggles, reinforced footwear, reflective jackets, and more, you are on your way of keeping you workplace safety. Keep employees informed– keep your employees informed all the time with the latest procedures and rules with regards to safety at work. It can be done via constant training and orientation or by posting information on visible areas like hallway, pantry, and more. Train emergency response teams – have a group or a team trained to be the front liners in responding any emergencies. Employers must note though that employees chosen to be one of the emergency response team must be physically capable to do the job. Secure Premises. Doing all of the abovementioned, your workplace will surely be a safe and healthy place to work for your employees. However, there are still some that you must avoid that include in getting the false or wring advices about health and safety for your workplace, for it may cause you trouble that having no information at all.
