Indications, methodics of implementation, control of effectiveness, prognosis. Control questions 1. What methods of treatment of pulpitis of the temporary teeth are often used and why? 2. Define the notions “devital amputation” and “devital extirpation”, name the indications and describe its methods. 3. What pastes are used for the pulp devitalization in the temporary teeth? 4. What sealing materials are used for sealing the root canals in the temporary teeth? What does the choice depend on? 5. What is the treatment tactics after the devital amputation in the temporary tooth with immature root? Preservation of the pulp vitality is one of the main tasks of pediatric therapeutic stomatology. The successful solution of the problem provides for the possibility of growth and formation of the root system of a permanent tooth, preserves functional value of the tooth for a long time. Aims: tolearn to choose the correct conservative method of treatment of pulpitis of the permanent teeth in children, to master the methods. Conservative (biological method) of pulpitis treatment is aimed at preservation of vitality and functional activity of the whole pulp. It may be performed in both teeth with mature root and teeth at stages of root formation. The indications for the conservative method of pulpitis treatment areL hyperemia of the pulp, acute serous local pulpitis, acute traumatic pulpitis (spontaneous opening of the pulp at preparation of the carious cavity), acute traumatic pulpitis (fracture of the crown part of a tooth which took place not longer than 6 hours ago), chronic fibrous pulpitis( in teeth with immature root). In last case the biological method of treatment should be considered as a temporary one, which provides for the physiological completion of permanent teeth' roots formation (apexogenesis). After this we should perform endodontic treatment of the tooth to prevent periodontal changes. The conservative method is more effective at localization of the carious cavity on the chewing surface, in healthy and almost healthy children (I and IIhealth groups), in children with caries in compensated form ( carious- extracted teeth coefficient not more than 4).
