The mission of the Career Development Center is to broaden students' perspectives on careers and to enhance their development of life skills. The Career Development Center's services are available to students from their first year through their senior year. The Career Development Center assists students with career decision making, job-search strategies (for both summer and full-time work), resume and cover-letter writing, and interviewing skills as well as application procedures for graduate / professional school. Sophomores and juniors are encouraged to participate in the College's Extern Program. By spending a week during a break with an alumna, alumnus, parent, or friend of the college who is employed in the field of interest to them, students can explore various occupations. Additionally, all students are encouraged to interact with the more than four thousand alumni who have volunteered to assist students through the career network.
