VI. Translate the following sentences into Ukrainian/Russian:
1. A week after the bloody climax of the siege at a school in North Ossetia, where more than 1,000 children, teachers and parents were taken hostage, investigators are still piecing together what happened. 2. In the ensuing panic many of the hostages tried to flee and the militants opened fire on them. 3. Russian Special Forces then moved into the school to try to save the hostages. 4. Министерство иностранных дел категорически отклоняет попытки российского государства возложить ответственность за захват заложников в школе Беслана (Северная Осетия) на руководство чеченской республики Ичкерия. Президент Масхадов и военное командование Чечни решительно осуждают формы проявления терроризма. Не важно, кто стоит за захватом в заложники детей в Беслане, мы решительно осуждаем данный теракт и присоединяемся к требованию Совета Безопасности ООН освободить заложников. В тоже время мы глубоко сожалеем о том, что действия российского правительства, приведшие к уничтожению 42 тыс. чеченских детей не были подвергнуты осуждению со стороны Совета Безопасности ООН. На протяжении 10 лет Россия уничтожала чеченский народ на глазах всего человечества, используя при этом грубые средства государственного терроризма и геноцид. Совет Безопасности ООН и другие международные организации, центральные правительства должны либо признать Россию ответственной за массовые систематические убийства в Чечне, либо признать лицемерие в отношении происходящего геноцида чеченского народа со стороны России.
