Each October during the full moon on the Mekong River near Nongkai in Thailand, mysterious lights float to the surface of the water, before going up into the sky like rockets. The Thai name for them is the Nekha Lights. The nekha is a large fish which lives in the local waters and is seen on the river surface at certain times of the year.

Many Thai people travel to the area because they want to see the lights, which have also been shown on local television. It is a complete mystery why they appear only during the full moon in October.

In October 1973, two men were fishing on the Pascagoula River in Mississippi when they heard a strange sound behind them. Turning round, they saw a large spaceship with two flashing lights on top. Three creatures came out and floated towards them. They pulled the fishermen into the spaceship.

Inside, one of the men was taken into a room where a kind of scanner moved backwards and forwards over his body, flashing brightly.

Twenty minutes later, the men found themselves on the bank of the river. It took thirty years for the men to make anyone believe that they had told the truth about their experience.
