II. Grammar.
Модальные глаголы. Большинство модальных глаголов (must, should, can, may) не имеют вспомогательных глаголов в вопросительных и отрицательных предложениях, после них не ставится частица to.
Must – должен (обязательство, настоятельный совет)
Mustn't– нельзя (запрет)
Should= (be) supposed to – следует (совет)
Shouldn't– не следует
Для того, чтобы спросить совет, используются следующие выражения:
Do I have to…? Do I need to …? Should I …? Am I supposed to …?
- Вы должны прибыть в это кафе как можно заметнее.
- Этот молодой человек был одет с головы до ног в кожу, с трехдневной щетиной.
- Вы не должны снимать солнцезащитные очки.
- Вам следует сделать вид, что вы только что заметили своего друга.
- Когда вы усядетесь, вам следует снова надеть очки, чтобы рассмотреть свое отражение в окне кафе.
- Если вас приглашают в ресторан, вам следует предложить заплатить за себя.
- Вам следует прибывать на встречу вовремя?
- Мне следует заплатить за обед?
- Вам не следует смотреть людям в глаза в Японии.
- Вам нельзя вести себя агрессивно.
Task 1. Discuss the following questions:
a) 
How much do you know about bearings?
b) Where is bearing used today? Make a list of possible applications of bearing. Compare it with that of your groupmates.
c) Do you know any complex machines? What are their constituents?
Task 2. A) The students are at the workshop on mechanical parts production. Listen to their discussion and learn what properties bearing has and where it can be used?
B) Decide whether the following statements are true or false:
1. The balls in ball bearings are made from another type of steal than races.
2. A gage check each ring with an acid.
3. Grinding machine check the inner diameter of each ring.
4. Water-based liquid keeps rings from overheating.
