Experiment 1

3 cm3of iron (III) ions solution was mixed with 3cm3 of iodide ions solution in a test tube. After, 0.5 cm3 of starch was added to the solution.

Experiment 2

3 cm3 of sodium chlorate (I) solution was mixed with 3 cm3 of iron (II) ions solution. Then pH level was checked by use of indicator paper. After, few drops of ammonium thiocyanate were added.

Experiment 3

3 cm3 of sodium chlorate (I) solution was mixed with 3 cm3 of bromide ions solution and pH level was checked by indicator paper. After, few drops of dilute sulphuric acid were added to neutralize solution and solution was checked for pH level again. Then 1 cm3 of kerosene was added to solution and test tube was shaken.

4th and 5th experiments were not held, only predictions were made for arranging redox pairs in the order of oxidizing strength.

Experiment 6

3 cm3 of chlorate (I) ions solution was mixed with 3 cm3 of iodide ions solution. Then 0.5 cm3 of starch was added to the solution.

Experiment 7

3 cm3 of sodium chlorate (I) was mixed with 1 cm3 of hydrogen peroxide. After, glowing splint was put in the test tube.

Experiment 8

2 cm3 of potassium iodide solution was acidified with of dilute sulphuric acid. Then, 1 cm3 of hydrogen peroxide was added. Afterwards, 1 cm3 of kerosene was added to the solution.

Experiment 9

1 cm3 of manganase (IV) oxide was mixed with 3 cm3 of hydrogen peroxide.
