Анна была свободной, нигде не работающей женщиной с весёлым нравом. Красавицей её назвать было трудно, но у неё были красивые волнистые волосы с завитками на затылке. Она всегда роскошно выглядела даже в простых платьях. Но однажды все были ошеломлены, когда она появилась в театре в вечернем платье и в сопровождении человека приятной внешности. Особенно удивлены были мужчины, так как они узнали её спутника – это был новый мэр.
