1. Ghost is the spirit of a dead person that some people think they feel or see in some mysterious place (for example in a haunted house). Many people think that a ghost has a faint, shapeless figure with empty round eyes which frightens people by making a strange wailing (woo-woo) sound. It floats through the air and can go through walls and closed doors. In the English language there are some interesting collocations with the word ‘ghost'. What do they mean? ghost hunter

ghost town the Holy Ghost

Ghost

ghost train the ghost of a smile

ghost writer to give up a ghost

Make several sentences with them and ask your groupmates to translate them.

2.Listen to six people from different countries and say whether they believe in ghosts or not. Try to give at least one additional detail about each speaker.

1) Adrienne (the United States); 4) Phil (England);

2) Barbara (Australia); 5) Simone (Sweden);

3) Conrad (the United States); 6) Simon (Canada).
