Read the text, find the words containing the letter “o”, group them in accordance with the sounds it represents in speech. Explain the reading rules.

 

Read the text, find the words containing the vowel /eI/, transcribe them and comment on its graphical rules.

 

Give the phonetic analysis of the underlined sentence (the intonation group division, the distribution of the sentence stress, the scales or heads, the use of nuclear tones).

 

Read the paragraph on p.285, divide the sentences into intonation groups, lay stresses and tone marks. Group the words in two columns:
