Mark Melcher was a respected, dignified kind man, Willowville's best loved citizen. Mark was methodical. He was ready to help people with their troubles.	But he was evidently a man of very rigid views, conservative and conventional. He was so much afraid to ruin his reputation that he dared to murder his friend to save his good name.
