Digital video broadcasting – handheld

DVB-H (Digital Video Broadcasting - Handheld) is one of three prevalent mobile TV formats. It is a technical specification for bringing broadcast services to mobile handsets.

3. Using the information above work in pairs. You are going to compare convergent services with traditional ones. Use the key words and phrases to help you. You may draw pictures and diagrams to explain your point.

5. Using the information above (at least 3 phrases from each row) have a discussion about pros and cons of convergent services and technologies.

Divide into two groups: As and Bs. Read your roles and prepare your arguments.

 

Group A:

You are in favour of the latest technologies. You work for a Mobile World company. Your aim is to prove that convergent services and technologies are good for people.

Group B:

You are against the latest technologies and developing convergence. You provide traditional equipment and services. Your sales are now declining (decreasing).
