Ex. 1. When people talk about their relatives they often ask about the age. Do you remember how this question sounds in English? Make questions and answer them following the example.

21 - twenty one 30-thirty 40 - forty 50 - fifty 60 - sixty 70 - seventy 80-eighty 90 – ninety

100 – one hundred

233 450 786 - two hundred and thirty three million four hundred and fifty thousand seven hundred and eighty six.

2345 - twenty three hundred and forty fife (or: two thousand three hundred and forty five)

What time is it? (What's the time? Or: Can you tell me the time, please?)

8.00 - It's eight (o'clock).

8.05 - It's five (minutes) pasteight.

8.15- It's (a) quarter pasteight.

9.30 -It's half past nine.

10.45 - It's (a) quarter to eleven.

4.50 - It's ten (minutes) to five.

12.00 - It's midday.

00.0 - It's midnight.

2.00 - It'stwo in the morning.Or: It's two a.m.

18.00 - It's six in the evening. Or:It's six p.m.

19.30 - It's exactlyhalf past seven p.m.

19.31 - It's just afterhalf past seven p.m.

17.28 - It's nearlyhalf past five p.m.
