Nightie FrightDate: 2015-10-07; view: 521. The Banana Now without any preparation let's create a story together in a chain. Don't forget about the main parts, which we have just refreshed in our memory. Choose one of the story-starters.
The huge crocodile opened its jaws wide . . .
The young musician walked nervously on stage . . .
A piercing scream rang out in the night . . .
A huge black bear lumbered toward the motorway . . .
I didn't believe in magic spells, but . . .
Out of the darkness and into the light of the campfire came . . .
2. Make 2 groups. Continue these stories, giving them happy endings. I'm a banana. I don't mind being peeled and then eaten in the usual way. It's just the thought of being cut up into little pieces. I'm lying helplessly in a glass bowl on a kitchen counter top. Oh, no, here she comes . . . with a sharp knife. She picks me up in her left hand and begins to peel me. What can I do?
I just went outside to check on Fido the dog, who was howling. But the door slammed shut on me. Now I can't get back inside, and no one's at home. Here I am, in the back garden, wearing nothing but my nightie!
3.Choose one of the pictures and create a story of not more than 6 sentences
4. A story treasure hunt. The cards with the events of one well-known tale are hidden in the classroom. I'll give you a treasure map and you are to find the cards, place them in correct order and act out the story. Thank you for the lesson! You've learnt what a short story is from the point of view of its structure and you`ve learnt to create your own stories. Those who have the greatest number of bonuses get the excellent mark!
