ПРАВОПИСАНИЕ ОКОНЧАНИЯ “-S', “-ES”

При прибавлении к глаголу окончания –esна письме следует соблюдать следующие правила орфографии:

Если глагол оканчивается наtch, sh, ss,то прибавляется окончание -es:I watch. He watches. I fish. He fishes. I dress. He dresses.

Если глагол оканчивается на букву “y”, перед которой стоит согласная, то “y” меняется на“i”и прибавляется окончание -es:I study - he studies.Буква “y” не меняется, если ей предшествует гласная:to play – plays.

Глагол to goв третьем лице единственного числа имеет окончание“-es”– goes.Глагол to doтакже имеет окончание –es=does, но читается как [džz].
