- In small group, choose one of the following products: toothpaste, cars, laundry detergent, or cigarettes. Look through magazines for advertisements on your product. Bring as many ads as you can to your group. Together, study them. What kind of psychology is the advertiser using? (Fear? Desire for a good self-image? Self-fulfilling prophecy?|)

Passive: Look! The grid is being placed between the cathode and anode by the student.
