Treatment of caries of the permanent teeth in children. Preparation and filling of the carious cavities at different forms of caries. General treatment: planning, methods.

Differential- diagnostical signs of deep caries, chronic fibrous pulpitis, chronic granulating periodontitis.

Signs Percussion Complaints Probing Duration of pain Contact with the tooth cavity  
Acute deep caries -- Pain, that stops quickly Painful at acute development, painless at chronic Disappears as soon as a stimulus is eliminated -- 6-10 ìêÀ
Pulp hyperemia -- Pain without causes Painfull 1-3min. -- 20-25 ìêÀ
Acute serous local pulpitis -- Pain without causes or from the temperature stimuli Painfull in one point 15-30min. -- 25-30 ìêÀ
Chronic fibrous pulpitis -- Temperature and mechanical stimuli Painfull in one point The pain slowly disappears after the stimulus has been removed -- 25-40 ìêÀ
Chronic periodontitis +/- Changes of the tooth color, fistulae on the gums Painless -- +/- More than å 60 ìêÀ

 


Treatment of caries of the permanent teeth in children is one of the most actual problems of pediatric stomatology. The timely diagnosis and rational choice of treatment methods provide for prevention of caries complications and create conditions for normal maturation of the permanent teeth' roots.
