Control questions

Chronic gangrenous pulpitis.

Complaints: sometimes about pain from the hot stimulus, or about the unpleasant smell from the tooth, the complaints may be absent. It is possible to distinguish from the case history that the tooth ached before.

Objectively: in the tooth we may define the carious cavity which is predominantly connected with the tooth cavity, the probing of the orifice is painless, pain and bleeding appear just at probing of the root canals orifices. The pulp inside the tooth cavity is decayed, with the purulent odour.

Differential diagostics: we should differentiate with the granular periodontitis and fibrous pulpitis

1. Name the patterns of the clinical manifestations of acute and chronic forms of pulpitis on the mature root stages.

2. Name the peculiarities of the clinical development of acute and chronic forms of pulpitis in children in their permanent teeth with immature roots.

The treatment of pulpitis in children is related to some difficulties stipulated by both morphological-functional peculiarities of the pulp on different stages of dental development and psychoemotional condition of pediatric patients. So when we choose a method of treatment, it is necessary to consider the form and duration of inflammatory process, the tooth development period, carious cavity localization, nonspecific body's resistance condition( previous diseases, accompanying diseases in anamnesis).
